Carpal Tunnel and Occupations

Carpal tunnel syndrome has been noted to occur more frequently in people with certain occupations. These occupations generally require highly repetitive movements and/or the use of  vibratory equipment.

These occupations include office workers, factory workers, and contruction workers. Remaining attentive to the movements that can very well cause you to have symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome is important to ensure good health.

It is important to acknowledge that certain repetitive movements and constant vibration can cause this repetitive motion trauma.  By knowing how it is caused, people can take certain measures to protect themselves.

Following ergonomic guidelines and taking breaks from repetitive movements can reduce your risk, as well as any hand or wrist pain you may already have. Practicing proper body mechanics and keeping fit will aid you in feeling great for years to come.
